In recent days, Scott and I have been settling in more to the NYC life. He has been attending techie conferences and I have been meeting with pet rescuers (including an informational session with Jane Hoffman from the Mayor's Alliance and Ed Sayres from ASPCA). More on that soon in my pet blog that will be unveiled this month.
Honey is doing fine, despite urination and vomiting issues. Not sure what is up with her, but she hasn't exactly been the healthiest dog in a while. That's the life of a street scavenger. She has a new pet carrier (hates it) and a new walking harness (is indifferent, but has cut under her arms). Sometimes tools don't make the job easier!
(Picture is in MI on Christmas. HBOT was terrorized by this adorable puppy, Tyson)
Scott's co-worker, Chris, was been kind enough to take Honey on a stroll recently. It was probably a nice break from her boring people who spend too much time staring at the glowboxes. The re-establishment of Poker Night has also been rewarding for the little HooverDog. I am amazed when a houseguest doesn't realize that the dog is going to lick any and all chip crumbs off his shoes if he lets the crumbs fly!
In the gossip world, my boss is no longer working with us. The gruesome details are not for this forum. Let's just say I am displeased with the way things are going because I accepted the position so that I could work with this person in particular.
Tonya and Justin are engaged. I'm very excited for them and look forward to all wedding-related celebrating!
Scott's Parents and Aunt Michelle are coming to visit us this Thursday from Michigan. I am looking forward to being a tourist with them. It will be a wonderful way to celebrate getting one year closer to 30.
